Gamma Alpha Omega has worked diligently to provide its expansion groups support and guidance though its new member education program and chapter programming. We have a supportive National Executive Board, Administration, and Alumnae groups ready to assist our expansion efforts. We see expansion as an opportunity to share our sisterhood with others and strengthen surrounding communities.

As a national Sorority, we follow certain criteria for expanding to new campuses. The process for expansion varies from campus to campus. Our best practice is to follow the university guidelines while also following our Expansion Procedure.

Factors we consider as we contemplate creating a new chapter include:

• The number of women involved in fraternal organizations and the level of participation in those organizations.
• The number of women interested in the Greek experience.
• Alumnae members in the area who would support a collegiate chapter in their community.
