PROGRAMMING

DIAMOND STANDARD CHAPTERS

The Diamond Standards Program (DSP) was developed to help define and assess collegiate chapter excellence as it pertains to our pillars: honesty, integrity, leadership, scholarship, and unity. The program exemplifies what is both expected and desired on the part of each collegiate member and chapter. The Diamond Standards Program is used as a tool by chapters to strive toward the highest level of achievement in the following areas:

  • Academics
  • Chapter Operations
  • Leadership
  • Philanthropy & Service
  • Sisterhood
  • Individual Member development.

The criteria that make up the Standards of Excellence program are aligned with the values of Gamma Alpha Omega. Each collegiate chapter is assessed annually using the criteria defined within our Diamond Standards Program. Awards are given to those chapters achieving a high level of success and are presented at either the regional conference or national convention.

Conventions & Conferences

NATIONAL CONVENTIONS

Our national conventions are our largest gathering of members and leaders. These events are a fun and exciting way to learn and network with sisters from across the country, as well as gain a new found appreciation for the unique bonds made possible by Gamma Alpha Omega. Chapters are required to attend National Convention, including meetings, workshops, and other events as deemed mandatory by the National Executive Board. Attendance requirements can be found in Section XV of the Policy Handbook. National conventions occur every two years.

  • 2023: TBD
  • 2025: TBD

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Vice President of Programming at programming@gammaalphaomega.org.

REGIONAL CONFERENCES

Regional conferences are events held by a specific region of the sorority and occur during the off-years of national convention. This event requires its chapters, collegiate and alumnae to come together for the regional meeting, leadership seminars, and more. The purpose of a regional conference is to build relationships with each chapter of the region and to continue educating new and seasoned members on any policy or procedure changes.
